BUSINESS COACHING

For Dressage Professionals

Every successful dressage professional can point to a coach that helped make them who they are.

Imagine applying that same edge to your career in horses.

Are you ready to GET THAT EXTRA "EDGE" in this industry?

Building a great reputation as a rider is not the same as building a great horse business.

Why are some top riders able to retire and scale back their work, while others have to work long days years after it stopped being fun?

Where do you see yourself ten years from now, after your current sponsor and top clients have moved on.

Did you ever wonder how some professionals enjoy horse after horse to compete? They never run out from year to year — even without a trust fund?

Starting a dressage business is easy. The first 10 years often go well. But most dressage professionals eventually find themselves frustrated financially because they created a job for themselves, not a business.

You've got eyes on the ground helping you achieve excellence in the saddle — but who's watching you run your business?

who is behind this?

Our founder, Steve Wolgemuth was a high-profile Grand Prix rider in the U.S and one of the first to receive his USDF bronze, silver, and gold medals. In 1993, he was the 4th ranking rider in the country behind Michael Poulin, Steffen Peters, and Carol Lavell.

At forty, Steven developed one of our country's most active dressage horse importing agencies and traveled to Europe monthly with American riders for many years consecutively.

In 2006, he started a digital marketing company and grew it to seven figures by 2015 — and doubled it by 2022. Along the way, Steve was named Small Business Person of the Year in Central Pennsylvania out of 15,000 candidates, and in 2020 won the Axiom Gold Medal in their marketing category— the world's most prestigious award for business authors — for his book on marketing leadership.

Steve has found success in both worlds. He built this coaching and business education program on a solid business career, and with deep understanding of the issues that side-track business success for dressage riders.

The Dressage Professionals program combines the knowledge, expertise, and counsel from several best-of-class business mentoring, coaching, and business operating systems, together with the counsel of a growing number of dressage industry experts.

"The best investment you can make is in yourself, and the best way to invest in yourself is to surround yourself with people who challenge and support you."

—  Warren Buffett

who is this for?

Not every dressage professional will read this and get it. Some will.

Those are the ones we want to talk to — the ones who recognize that the same mindset that drives excellence in the saddle can drive excellence in business, and who are ready to act on that.

We work with Trainers, Instructors, and Clinicians. Breeders. Agents and Sales Professionals. And other dressage-related businesses including retailers, therapists, photographers, online educators, and health-related service providers.

it will feel good to talk about your business!

This isn't complicated. Just reach out and say you're interested. We can schedule a time to talk.

We'll discuss your situation and why you are expressing interest in the program. I'll do my best to give you enough background information and details so you can decide if it's right for you. I can also answer your questions.

You may feel unsure about all of this, especially if you've never had a business coach. And frankly, you may decide it's not for you.

At this point, we are organizing cohorts of professionals who have key similarities in experience, business type, years of experience, and business aspirations.

Our cohorts meet monthly for 2 hours and attendance is mandatory. We go through the program together, learning, brainstorming, and setting goals. We share ideas, encourage one another, and find smart answers to difficult challenges.

To qualify, you must already have some demonstrated success in this industry. You must be highly motivated to learn, willing to work hard, smart and committed. These attributes are non-negotiable.
